Black Lives Matters South Carolina Launches New Community Mirco-Grant and Rental Program Press Release

Black Lives Matter South Carolina has launched a Micro-Grant program. The BLK Micro-Grants offer the chance to earn grant money anywhere from $50 to $2,000. So if a person is 35 years old or younger and lives in South Carolina, if they want to feed their community, if they’re going to host a march, if they’re going to register voters, they will be eligible for all of our BLK Grants.

BLM-SC never requires an essay, GPA, or recommendation to apply. All of the BLK Micro-Grants can be found on our BLK Grant Page. By completing all the action steps and verifying your participation in grant-eligible campaigns, a person automatically enters for a chance to receive a grant.

To verify their participation and impact, we’ll ask them to “report back” by sending a photo or describing the impact you made. Grant Applications opens August 1st to BLM-SC members and August 4th for the general public.

We also have launched our Rental Program, where members from the community can use BLM-SC available items, including sound and video equipment, three community grills, tables, and chairs for FREE.

Our new rental program allows for more young people to get involved in their community. Equipment will be available for rent on August 15th.
